Our Onboarding Process
At Social Minds Therapy, we believe that meaningful progress begins with understanding the individual. That’s why every new participant completes our comprehensive onboarding process before commencing therapy or group programs.
Our onboarding process is designed to help us gain a thorough understanding of your strengths, goals, interests, support needs and any challenges you may be experiencing. This allows our experienced team to make informed recommendations and ensure you’re matched with the most appropriate therapist, program or social group for your individual needs.
Rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach, we take the time to get to know each participant so we can create the best possible foundation for successful outcomes.

Why Do We Have an Onboarding Process?
Our goal isn’t simply to enrol participants into a programāit’s to ensure they’re receiving the right support from the very beginning.
Our onboarding process helps us to:
- Develop a thorough understanding of each participant and their individual needs.
- Recommend the most appropriate services based on evidence and clinical judgement.
- Carefully match participants with therapists and social groups that best suit their goals, age, interests and support requirements.
- Create personalised therapy pathways rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach.
- Provide the best possible experience and outcomes from day one.
At Social Minds Therapy, we believe that taking the time to understand each individual before therapy begins is one of the most important steps in building confidence, meaningful relationships and long-term success.
