The Social Explorers Curriculum is designed to help young learners develop the skills they need to be flexible social thinkers and social problem solvers. The program is explicitly taught through describing and demonstrating concrete concepts through structured play. Students will learn about the social mind, social expectations, their own thinking and that of others, to help them make better decisions when in the midst of social play and interactions.

Skills Taught in the Program:

-Learning as part of a group
-Cooperative/Collaborative Play, Sharing an Imagination
-Perspective taking: Knowing how to share space
-Perspective taking: Self Regulation in a group
-Perspective taking: Cooperation and Negotiation

This program is designed for students who struggle with self-regulation. The curriculum is geared towards helping students gain skills in consciously regulating their actions, which in turn leads to increased control and problem solving abilities.
